Features

Everything HouseClock does.

This page is long on purpose. It's the whole tool, organized by the way a floor actually works. Jump to any area, or read it straight through.

Tournament lifecycle

What the software does, from setup to the final deal.

Every tournament follows the same arc. Here's what HouseClock is doing at each stage.

  1. 1·Setup

Structure, money, and screens configured; a saved template recalled in seconds.

  2. 2·Registration

Entries, rebuys, and add-ons tracked; prize pool and average stack update live.

  3. 3·Levels & breaks

The timestamp clock advances levels and breaks, and the room hears each change.

  4. 4·Late reg closes

Registration closes on schedule or on the floor's word; the field is locked.

  5. 5·Bubble

The bubble is flagged on every board as the field nears the money.

  6. 6·In the money

Payouts lock to the ladder, and each finish is recorded against a place.

  7. 7·Final table

A redraw seats the final table and the board switches to the closing view.

  8. 8·Deal

A deal is calculated and read back — even split, chip chop, ICM, or lock-and-split.

The clock

A timestamp-based countdown that keeps exact time and comes back to the exact second after anything goes wrong.

  • Timestamp-based countdown that cannot drift, no matter how long it runs.
  • Automatic level and break advancement, with a spoken and visual warning first.
  • Optional holds so play resumes on the floor's word, not the clock's.
  • Crash-resume to the exact second after a quit, a crash, or a closed laptop.
  • Extend or correct a level without disturbing the rest of the schedule.
  • Elapsed time and time-of-day, always in view.
  • Next-level preview and a countdown to the next break.

Structures

Build any structure by hand or generate one, then save it once and reuse it for every recurring event.

  • Full blind-structure editor with inline editing of every level.
  • Insert levels or breaks anywhere in the ladder.
  • Bulk level-length changes across the whole structure at once.
  • Structure generator with standard 25-base and 100-base ladders.
  • Big blind ante, traditional ante, or no ante.
  • Five shipped presets: casino standard, deepstack, turbo, and two home-game tiers.
  • Save unlimited templates for recurring events.
  • Edit the structure mid-tournament without touching the running clock.

Money

Prize pools, guarantees, and deals that always reconcile to the dollar — the math a floor can defend to a table.

  • Buy-in, house fee, staff fee, bounty, and rebuys and add-ons with windows.
  • A live prize pool that updates as entries change.
  • Guarantees with the overlay shown on the board when the field falls short.
  • Payout schedules that scale with field size.
  • House rounding to $1, $5, $25, or $100 — remainder to first.
  • Manual payout overrides for when the director's word is final.
  • W-2G threshold flags visible to the director only.
  • Final-table deals: even split, chip chop, ICM, and lock-and-split, each summing exactly to the money left.

Announcements

The room hears every change without anyone reaching for a microphone. All of it generated on the machine.

  • Spoken level changes, warnings, breaks, and break-end.
  • Registration closing and closed, bubble, in the money, final table, and deals.
  • Fully editable templates with tokens for blinds, levels, times, and player counts.
  • Configurable voice, rate, and volume.
  • A chime before speech so the room looks up in time.
  • No microphone, no recordings, no internet.

Seats and tables

Draws and moves the floor can stand behind, because nothing changes until a person approves it.

  • Random seat draws with a visible seed, so any draw can be reproduced if a player disputes it.
  • Table balancing that proposes moves for the floor to approve, rather than acting on its own.
  • Table breaking with automatic reseating.
  • Final-table redraw.
  • Every move confirmed before anything changes.

Cash games

Run the cash side of the room from the same machine — waitlists, call-ins, and a public board that protects players' numbers.

  • Multiple games with stakes and table counts.
  • A waitlist per game, with players able to sit on more than one list.
  • Call players with a spoken announcement and a grace countdown.
  • Seat, transfer, and remove players.
  • A public waitlist board for the room — with phone numbers never leaving the manager's screen.

Displays

One computer drives every screen in the house, and remembers how you set them up.

  • Route any session to any screen from one computer.
  • Show the same session on multiple screens at once.
  • Identify a physical screen from the console.
  • Remembered layouts that restore when a screen is reconnected.
  • Three board layouts — Classic, Clean, and Minimal.
  • Themes and font scaling to suit the room and the distance.
  • Show, hide, and reorder panels on the board.

Operations

Built to run a real floor: several live events at once, autosaved, and hard to close by accident.

  • Multiple live sessions at once — two tournaments and a cash game side by side.
  • Per-session autosave with resume.
  • A session library of saved events.
  • A confirmation before quitting a live tournament.
  • The display never sleeps while an event is running.
